Bicycle Technician / Team Member. 

Here at Cycle Sphere we are looking for bicycle technicians to join our growing team.
Relevant experience, knowledge and qualifications will be essential in this position which form the foundations of Cycle Sphere’s values.

Cycle Sphere started rolling on two wheels in 2016 with one clear goal – to feed Hampshire’s appetite for everything cycling. Cycle sphere situated at the heart of a major green-town regeneration project,  Cycle Sphere offers bicycle / e-bike sales , bicycle hire , repairs, servicing, custom builds, wheel building, workshop classes / tuition, Ride leading / coaching and more. 

Brands:  Kona Bicycles, Salsa , Wisper, Cinelli, Basso plus many more top brands.

Magura Pro Shop.

Bosch Ebike service centre.

Shimano di2 and Ebike service. 

Aeroc Carbon wheels master wheel builder location. 

Fully Kitted out modern workshop and equipment. 

The Role:

Preferred experience and demonstrate competence in the following. 

• New bicycle builds and PDI 
• Accurate service writing , written assessments to customers – seizing sales opportunities with upgrades / improvements to clients bicycles. 
• Carry out major overhauls and minor repairs on a diverse range of bikes
• Project manage each bicycle service including parts ordering / time management /client expectations.  
• Wheel building 
• Bosch Ebike and other manufacture service
• Di2 , Etap , AXS , hydraulic brake systems , suspension service etc 
• Custom bike building – consultation to completion 
• General workshop management , tidiness, inventory & equipment management
• Instruct , manage trainees / workshop assistants if required.
• Assist with or lead / plan workshop repair classes to our customers 
• Open / close premises / Till operation
• Assist sales staff  with customers when required 

About you :

We are looking for someone with excellent customer facing / interpersonal skills, great communication verbal & written. A keen passion for bicycles and cycling to share with our customers. Familiar with using IT systems – Epos , MS Office etc.

Keeping up with the latest trends, technical information and the ability to “self learn”  Further training can be facilitated where possible. Possessing bike accreditation’s are preferred – Cytech level 2 min. 

Salary / hours of work/ location:

Located in Bordon Hampshire on the edge of south downs national park. 

The normal work week is Tuesday – Saturday. Approx 40 hr week. Conventional shop hours. Time to time there will be a requirement to work outside these hours for our events / functions and possible bank holidays. Generally speaking we can be flexible and work together as a team to appease the needs of the business.
